As someone who has lived in northern Canada all my life I am curious to how much I could take (safely of course) I still wear shorts and T-shirts in -30 to -40 C weather my Brother and I as kids used to shovel are sidewalk and drive pad bare feet and in shorts and no shirt whoever went inside first had to do the dishes for the following day our mother would damn near have a heart attack everytime 😂

  • Hey, great content as always and I am completely with you on this journey. It is great to your friends progress too. Your boxing skills are vastly improving week by week but I think you need to start training for boxing on the inside.... Having watched Thor too, I feel the fight will inevitably lead to a lot of hugging and holding, especially in the later rounds. Training on the inside will be hugely beneficial, you also need to practise and enhance your stamina through having people “lean” on you for several rounds. This is particularly important considering Thor’s weight. You need to be fight fit which means be able to deal with every eventuality which will include a 25 stone bloke leaning, pushing and holding for several rounds. It drains your stamina and you need to be prepared for this.

    • There's no point sparring till you have the basics down, it will just reinforce bad habits. These guys are complete novices, they have to be taught everything from how to move their heads to how to actually throw a punch. Sparring does not teach those movements, they must be learned prior. Were I you, I would not take the words of the boxing "experts" in NLworld comment section, no novice fighter in any fighting sport begins anywhere other than the beginning. And the beginning is what he's doing. Sparring is not the be all and end all, especially at this stage. Mind you, a lot of what he says about some of these other exercises translating to boxing is mostly bollocks, but the lack of sparring FOR NOW is the right move.

  • Could I make a single suggestion. From someone who legitimately has been inspired by you and wants to see you win. Incorporate into your training striking against a much taller opponent. It will be unlike sparring and practicing against your typical opponents. All of your ranges will be off, for your strikes and your defenses "opponents longer arms." I haven't seen you do this yet, and think it would help you tremendously
