He must feel close to zero resistance, lifting that barbell with the 45's. 😂
The mighty Thor has the record 💪
Drop a like if you want to see Eddie go for a new world record! 💪
Just eat rice hall and you'll be good 😉🤣jk

Thank you so much for sharing this video and your knowledge. I didn't realize how far off my form was until I filmed myself from the side. I'm basically doing the entire lift incorrectly- turning it into a stiff legged deadlift with the bar starting well off of my body. I am excited to try out these key points in my next session. Thank you again!!
I came here for cranberry juice references. Eddie you broke my heart.
Jesus Christ is Lord God of all! God bless you all! Nothing, and I mean NOTHING, is too difficult for the Lord our God, with Christ, ALL things are possible
That was fantastic! Thank you
Eddie hall with the no BS click bait videos! I love it😎👍💪💪💪
Thanku eddie❤ im working on this technique 🍻
Thanks eddie
Eddie is incredible! A lot of successful people are selfish and will never reveal the secrets of their art. This man is publicly teaching us how to protect and better ourselves at his craft
This video inspired to go from a 50 year old 350 lb man to a 25 year old 110 lb woman
I was going to turn to Athlean X... until I saw this.
Arms wider = shorter lever arm = bar higher at lockout. Think Clean vs Snatch. Eddie is built like a fridge, he needs a slightly wider grip to keep his shoulders back. The only reason the bar *might* be closer to his knees at lockout is because he moved his legs wider by about 5-6" The wider stance and grip work for Eddie, but smaller lifters like Richard Hawthorne will speak to the opposite. This stuff is NOT dogmatic, people. Find a coach who understands you and let them help you.
Just because a world record holder says so, doesn't make it true.
If you move your arms wider, the lever arm gets shorter and the bar moves higher (look at the clean and jerk vs the snatch). You also have to start from lower. Everyone’s grip needs to be wide enough to get shoulders back, but the reasoning on distance to lockout is questionable. Eddie is built like a fridge, he needs a slightly wider grip to keep his shoulders back. The only reason the bar might be closer to his knees at lockout is because he moved his legs wider by about 5-6" The wider stance and grip work for Eddie, but smaller lifters like Richard Hawthorne will speak to the opposite. From two accounts, whoops
How to add 20 percent to your max deadlift: Shows 3 tips that add 1 percent each
If I deadlift as many pounds as Eddie does in KG's I'll be pretty satisfied.
I put the bar right above the knots in my shoes... Nd that’s literally right in the middle of my feet Nd I only did that for comfort I didn’t know that’s where the bar was supposed to be
My dream teacher, but doing shit myself and learning from my personal experience is the 40% boost of powerlifting thanks eddie for the useful tips! - Jon
Me: My deadlift technique is oka... Eddie: Your technique is shit Me: Yeah you're right
Question, when you're mentioning feet being shoulder width, what comes after that? Am I hearing plus half an inch to an inch? Thank you.
Crazy how with 4 fingers he can probably do more than my max 310lbs xD
Actually my problem
Honestly I prefer sumo stance for deadlifts
Favorite strongman period. Would love to train with this guy and learn something
You are truly an amazing human being.
Can't wait to get back in the gym for my 3 favorite lifts! Deadlifts, Squats and Bench press. 💪🏻💪🏻💪🏻💪🏻🦵🏻🦵🏻🦵🏻🦵🏻🏋🏻♂️🏋🏻♂️ GET SOME!!!
Awesome
A cue a mate of mine taught me was push your arse _down_ and not _back_, when you think you're set try pushing your arse down a bit further, worked wonders, back pain gone immediately
Looks like I've been doing it wrong for 11 years. Felt a lot smoother and less load on the back. I feel it the legs now though. Thanks big man.
Ok, new PR coming this week 👌 Great video and easy to understand.
Damn so with all these tips I can theoretically deadlift 7grams more!
,,,,if only thors entourage had taught him how to count to 3! he wont pull it with just 2 outa 3 tips, elephant bar and suit or no elephant bar and suit!
This was great.
Knock Thor out Eddie, I’m rooting for you.
I was having backpain from deadlifts and now I know why. Thanks for these helpful tips.
that helped a lot, my first rep was harder before
Do it in your own gym with your own plates +10%
Very helpful thank you Eddy ! 💪🏻
Arnold was his idol, now this badass is my idol. I hope to meet you someday whenever the coronavirus quits. From america
Answer: Drugs
Well I mostly agree with Eddie. In mark bells podcast Eddie said after Thor pulls 501kg that Thor was gonna retire which basically was confirmed cause after the 501kg deadlift he said he had a 7 figure contract doing something different other than strongman. So in other words Thor done just enough to crap on Eddie. And lastly Thor lied on the 520kg attempt. Which is what ppl clearly wanted because beating the record by 1kg was cheap being that a 1/1000 difference in bar tensile strength could of give him just enough or bar leaving the ground late enough to pull 501kg sense rouge is slightly weaker bar meaning the weights left the floor later which might have give him a 5-10kg advantage. Thor is letting eddie and his fans down. If he had done 520k then yes thor is stronger but 501kg seems cheap. And a way to pad pockets. A example would be in a 100 yard dash, you use a unapproved shoe as in this case the bar, that gives a 1/1000 advantage is faster/ easier to do the weight. Natrually the top of the lift is easier, so if the bar bends slightly more with the rouge setup the weights leave the ground later. Its something that can be measured, take and tie a rope to different bars with the same weight yet different tensile strength and use a pull scale and youll find the amount of pounds needed to pull the same weight off the floor will have slightly different curves until the bar completely leaves the ground and the entire 500kg is in hand. They use this all the time on bow scales and on steel bars to be up to code for the application. Olympic bars dont have a standard in that department. A cheap standard Olympic bar can start to bend at 400lb while higher grade like ivacoe usually dont bend until 7-800lb. Rouge bar was clearly weaker and left the ground later. Thor was so close to failure the last 5 inches on the 501 he had to set it on his fat above his nee's and lean back the remainder of the way. It saved him. That alone shouldnt count but i know by rules pulling is pulling. Secondly, about eddie dying, yes he had a brain bleed but sometimes its just brain structure is weaker, a 400lb fat guy can have a aneurysm pooping straining out a big turd. Other ppl can go to their limit and not hurt themselves. Its about body structure. Im so strong in my fingers my fingers will pop outta joint if i try. But someone else with same effort theres might not even pop out same strength. And clearly Thor told everyone on shaws interview with him and on nick strength and powers video where he was talking about the 520 he would try it regardless of the twich followers.
Hafthor has to take notes
I think you have to go heavier eddie
How to increase ur deadlift?? ask Thor How to be a drama queen ask Eddie
Shouldn't have shown this video to Thor, Eddie! Better change the title bud! :)
501
Second best deadlifter in the world is our Eddie
How to increase your deadlift by 20% TRY OLYMPIC WEIGHTLIFTING
Now that you've mentioned that, this is why I hurt my lower back, I was deadlifting from A to B then C and lifting the bar from the front of my toes, I'll try out the A to B technique today when I try the deadlift again. Thank you Eddie!!
Thank you Eddie for the great information one of the best !!! cheers mate
1. East a shit ton of food 2. Train heavier 3. Become an anabolic man
Adds 20% by cutting out lockout. Eventually keeps cutting out ROM until they have zero ROM and a million Lb deadlift
Good info💪
Eddie you are a beast, but you only gota few more days to milk this 500 deadlift
If it increases your deadlift by 20% then why don't you just do it time after time Eddie?
it's impossible for humans to lift 600kg
*Inspired to pickup that Dusty dungbell* 💪💪💪
20% more of 0 is still 0 :(
Maybe you can use these tips to get better after thor smashes your record
You did another, shorter deadlift technique ideo with very similar information not too long ago, and after watching it I swore off all other deadlift tutorials and just memorised these tips. All of my clients get EXACTLY this info when learning to deadlift and all of them have seen massive improvements in a very short space of time. Thanks Eddie!
I really would like see Thor breaking the record. But that doesn’t make me an Eddie hater. Yes the whole think is a big pool on controversy . But I like both athletes and I have a lot of respect for them.
Are you gonna change the title of the video when Thor smashes your WR
Only crossfit plates **pukes**
Whys he's always doing the American accent thing 😂
This Eddie guy has some pretty good tips, I bet he could have a world record dead lift some day.
Pursue the World Record Strict Curl.. got to keep the records coming!
Thor is gonna deadlift 520kg
Top tier mate
really helpful... thx
Even on his last legs he'll still be stronger then me... Legend.
You are a sham. You slam Thor's attempt to break your record while you rigged the 2017 WSM and still won by only 1 point. Then you retired bcos you knew you would never win again. Also you thought you were dying after the 500 kg lift. be a sportsman and be gracious let Thor do his record in his home gym rather than question his integrity.
I was expecting a story about the record of the world but I will take this
I honestly dont give a shit if Thor pulls 501kg. He wasnt the first to pull 500kg....who the hell cares about second best?
Lot of sensible advise. No copycat garbage. Just real power improving adjustments. If anybody is going to deadlift 550 kilos someday my bet would be on Eddie.
how do you overcome injury from a leg pressing lower back injury. never seems to go away
next week thor increase your deadlift by 21% with these 3 tips lmao
Now Thor get that tricks to do that life at his gym😅
I’ve learned more in 12:40 than I have of 10 years of deadlifting
Lolz, he had to remind us he is the "500KG WR holder" :-p
Form, Technique and Execution.
I never thought I'd be interested in strongman, but Eddie Hall somehow convinced me. Unfortunately, we are in lockdown and I don't have weights.
Great job Eddie!! Thank you!!!
Really helpful video, when gyms reopen, it’s time...
Soon you will be silenced for good
501
Thor sees this video and pulls 600kg
Eddie , if Thor does 501 will you do 502?
Breaking records need to be done in the biggest stage. To be the fastest man in Earth you do it in Olympics or world . It's no done in a guy backyard
'easiest lift in buewwwk'
Thor is better
I watched a colab video with Brian and increased my Deadlift from 100kg to 185kg in 3 months
Now waiting for the gyms to open again to try to break my 170kg PR
Thor watched this
bench is definitely most technical
Such a humble guy
everyone: jokes about thor me: why does nobody tell anything about the guy that went to BGT as a singing strongman
Eddie Bro, this is boss!! This is the very thing I have been waiting for from you! Keep going with the training in "humbly smart details." You own this!!
I think you mean. Former World Record Holder...😉
