  • You're talking gene splicing. They are going to try and add animal DNA to people in order to make them stronger and faster.

  • Your obsessed with genes and genetics ever think it’s simply your desire and commitment to hard work that has enabled you to do what you have, I have the gene for strength but I’ve never been a weight lifter but I’ve excelled at other sports. Genes may help but it’s pure desire that enables people to do whatever you want to do. I think the mind has more to do with it than genes.

  • I would really like to thank you Eddie Hall for inspiring me. I am 42 years old and had been an hard core addict of some form of hard drug (not Marijuana) since i was 19 years old. I quit less than a year ago and have slowly gotten into a regular gym routine. Keep on inspiring me sir. You may have saved my life.

  • Makes sense, I was sitting there stunned after watching Eddie run the 2.4km/1.5mile. I remember thinking he'd probably make 13-15 minutes and that would be amazing for a 170kg guy. He did it in 11.30 something minutes, pretty phenomenal and I wouldn't believe somebody if they'd told me.

  • Leave well enough alone, cheating is never competitive, leave nature alone... Play the cards / genetics you been born with..! Not everyone was meant to be an athletic strongman Superstar like Eddie Hall..!

    Donald SavageDonald Savage4 maanden geleden
    • Donald Savage the impactful discoveries in this field will all exist in the area of epigenetics which is as natural as lifting weights. The idea of genetic alteration is sexier than epigentics but has no basis is reality. Even if we were able to completely design a genome the athlete would still get more performance benefits from epigentic manipulation than they would from their genome. Remember my initials! My discovery will be published soon

  • They never talked about how it could be possible. As a biotechnologist I believe the only way it could be possible is to edit the genome with crispr technology or talens technology when the child is only a few cells old. In my opinion it is unethical to edit a babies genome without their permission.

  • 9:00 So Eddie Hall is only top 6-10% of genetics? That means someone in top 1% and top 0.0001% of 1% could be even stronger than Eddie, Thor, Brian any of them. Especially if they are tall and have a big frame. It's crazy to think their records may be easily beat one day. That we haven't even seen the very top of human genetic elite and what humans are capable of.

    Grox44Grox444 maanden geleden
    • Its a balance of all genes (apparently) so someone out there is in the 1% strenght but probably is on the lower curve of say cortisol production. Which takes the 1% strength gene back below eddy.

  • To be honest and blunt gene doping would even the playing field. I think we are still a ways away from it though. When anti aging and de aging become more of a thing who knows what will happen. Gene doping would eliminate a lot of the random chance and luck of genetics. As technology advances more and more people will be able to truly be what they want to be. I would never do steroids. But I honestly would gene dope to have healthy good testosterone levels. Would not only help my strength and athletics but my health and confidence. Would help so much.. This could help a lot of men especially with men's shrinking testosterone levels these days.

  • Repent and accept Jesus Christ before it is too late focus more on building your spirit more than your physical body as these vessels we are in are only temporary. Having big muscles will not save you from the Judgement that is coming upon the earth, Only a relationship with Jesus Christ. Timothy 4:8 King James Version 8 For bodily exercise profiteth little: but godliness is profitable unto all things, having promise of the life that now is, and of that which is to come.

  • Just talk about steroids 😂 99% of the top strongmen are using and we wanna hear the mad doses 😂

    Oliver TinsleyOliver Tinsley4 maanden geleden
    • @Oliver Tinsley Guys on steroids peak about 10x quicker than a natural, as their progress just keeps going and going until they hit a wall in their mid-late 20s (if they start say as a teen).

      Big ManBig Man4 maanden geleden
    • @Big Man yeah, they might talk behind closed doors about it. And thats it isn't it, starting too early and not letting your muscle and body to mature to heavy weights

      Oliver TinsleyOliver Tinsley4 maanden geleden
    • @Oliver Tinsley I'd like to see one of them be completely honest about what they take but with sponsorships etc I don't think that's gonna happen anytime soon. All I know is that some strongmen push the gear so hard that they have to retire at 30(bodyweight is a factor too) (Eddie Hall, Thor), which is kinda ridiculous, considering a natural athlete wouldnt reach their peak strength and muscle maturity till their late 30s.

      Big ManBig Man4 maanden geleden
    • @Big Man I'm actually a junior too, small world. I agree, you need them to push on, but I'd like a high level strongman to tell us what he's done

      Oliver TinsleyOliver Tinsley4 maanden geleden
    • @Oliver Tinsley I have what you could say "big man" genetics also. I am 6"3" and 125kg naturally and I am still a JNR in powerlifting. I have alot of experience in the field, competed at a European level as a teen (and won a thing or two). But my point is that to be very competitive at the highest level in strongman nowadays, you need to have the "big man" genetics and also the big doses of gear. I get you might be competitive in the open at 150kg drug free and that's fantastic. But, if you want to be competitive at the WSM, drugs are needed, and alot more than people realise, particularly if they are uneducated about strength sports

Ive broke my arm as a child wrestling my dad Very stubborn lol My heaviest lift was a alfa romeo 156 V6 engine. Think there like 300-350lb Sadly. I suffer with depression and doomed to waste my life no doubt :( I Cant do the the 9 to 5 life, I just cant do it. Id love to try and take that epigenetics test, But i don't ave £120 to waste i only get that a fortnight to live on :D. Hope you and your family all safe and well.
