«Mental health, hental mealth...»
I’ve had awful mental health as of recent. Was depressed basically started thinking of suicide daily. It was awful, I stopped training boxing and Muay Thai and gave up. Got into a new mindset been sleeping more, taking vitamin D and working out again. I think I am getting better.
Not saying Vitamin D saved me, I had a load of personal and emotional issues as well. I just think eating well exercising and handling issues these way are the way to go
The effects of vitamin D on mental health absolutely astonish me next to the vitamin B12 B12 and the whole have to have certain other vitamins to absorb them like c and e then the whole not trying to get to political on race the different levels of skintones that it can affect the levels of what's needed it can't be lost so it's very important to be structured as what's best for you
Thanks for making this video! It doesn’t look like it’s as popular as the rest of your videos, but I think it’s really important and a great component to your other content!
When is the fight?
Barry Boppins - wow, your stupidity is simply dumbfounding - before making a non sickle comment do some research.
both my physician and psychologist has to me that vit d has been known to b linked to various health problems, and a majority of people have some level of vit d deficiency. mine was low enough that i was prescribed for a week 50,000 mg of vit d just to hit the bare minimum.
Hi. What kind of vitamin D shot are you referring to. D3, ? Concentration? Etc. Thanks!!!
Keep these types of videos coming! Very helpful Eddie
He probably does not eat enough meat for his vitamine B needs :P /S
FARTING IS GREAT FOR MENTAL HEALTH. YOU DO FEEL RELAXED
I've heard that kids dont suffer from Covid19 because there innate immune system is stronger than adults. So vitamin D is vital.
Quercetin I use to also to keep my lungs clear.
This is one of my favorites. Love the knowledge!!
Perfect subject for this time of year👍
Love this! Been talking about this at work only yesterday and my friend was telling how important vitamin D was, now you and James and have really made it easy to understand Thank you! 🤝
That moment when Eddie calls the head scientist at Mhudo the head nerd😂😂😂
Lol... just vita D but nothing else matters
Nice to see some attention on this matter especially with covid. Yet another reason the fucking love Eddie Hall.
deep rooted mental health is not cure by any supplements or even TRT
Eddie does so much more than just inspire physical fitness. His openness to mental health and general well being is like no other athlete or celebrity I know of.
This specific video is very important to me, I began taking Vitamin D supplements for a few months now and I'm feeling an improvement on my overall health, I don't get sick as often as I used to and most importantly my mental health is getting better, I suffered from a severe depression and anxiety years ago so this has been a blessing to me, at first I started taking it to improve my immunity to reduce the chances of getting covid but now that I know all of this, I'll keep taking it.
Thanks for the information
Diet and lifestyle are the keys and no sugar and vimim D is must and vitamin c need to and 5HTP is need for SAD and you need and need take D with fats you can not get from food NHS do not give us good stuff just drugs
Spending time in the sun always makes you feel good mentally. Periods of prolonged cloudy, dreary weather always makes you mentally feel more blah
Take vitamin D3 always with vitamin K2. If you don't do that then calcium clog can build up in the arteries.
Took 20k Vit D yesterday and my mood today is far better, and my anxiety reduced alot.
Having high levels of Vitamin D make me feel like I'm on steroids. The energy and strength gains are through the roof
Who could predict that most valuable video I watched this month will be one uploaded by Eddie Hall!? Thanks Man :D
I always include fatty fish in my diet just to get plenty of vitamin d
eddie severely dehydrated
vitamin d helps me a lot du the dark month in sweden . This is sooo true. and dont buy the one on food store . buy the proper one in the health store
I've been taking Vit D with high strength Omega 3 for about 2 years now, game changer for me because I wasn't feeling too good... took a few months to rebalance the chemistry but once I started to feel better it was amazing 👍🏼
I know Eddie your not a doctor, but its nice to have advice about vitamin d!!! I love knowing what it can do.... 👍
Hey Eddie! Maybe you will see this, I was getting ready to hit 300kg deadlift at age 21 and weight 95kg but sadly i got stomach inflammation. I have it for 9months from now and I weight 66kg. Docs can't help me very well, I think i tried everything but maybe you ever heard about that problem? I remember one strongman had that problem years ago but i can't remember which one so maybe you could help somehow, any advice would be amazing, wish you best on your fight!
Get well soon mate
great information much needed during these times
Great video like it👍
Bad eating passes on bad genetics meat and dairy are the cause of the bad genetics people don’t just get genetic problems for no reason.
I had a comprehensive blood test results come back as I have seriously low levels of vitamin D Deficiency. And I have and currently suffering from some mental health issues such as anxiety low moods and stress for a long time. I think that’s correct low levels of vitamin D can effect mental health. However I am taking potent vitamin D supplements at the moment hopefully that helps but too early to say
Its all about keeping Hydrated 💯
Really informative video its actually better than some the videos and channels that dedicate to making videos om things like this lol .they dont get to the point but here straight to the point
Eddie hydrated hall vs Fullthor who will win
Eddie hall plays video games? I mean what I wasn’t giving a video idea
Great info.
Hell yes it does, for years I was very low on vitamin D, and Everytime the summer time would come around I got very depressed.
Audio SORT IT OUT. Your a successful NLworldr you can buy a mic dude.

Last winter i started with 5000 iu + 250 k2 a day. Didnt take it during summer of course. I wanst ill since
Imagine how much more vitamin D Eddie could absorb if he was fully hydrated
He needs a doctor because he is *DEHYDRATED*
His wife seems fine isn't that right Eddie you hound 😉
What about the light therapy? This is an awesome video eddie!! But ive read a decent amount on this and it seems light therapy is the best way for us all. Not the pills
These are great internet connections
hello from Vietnam
I'm worried for THOR, I don't think he understands what he got himself into. Eddies training is on another level....
I have been talking 9.000UI a day, since then my sleep improved alot...
Very informative. Thank you.
just started taking a vitamin D supplement and i noticed it has helped me

this applies to me. Swede living in (mostly) darkness 4-5 months out of the year, with an auto-immune disease decreasing my vid-d uptake. Since Rhonda Patrick was on the Joe Rogan podcast, I've been taking 125 µg/day (about 2000% RDI) and I don't feel depressed anymore. I even have benefits in the gym where I've grown more muscle mass and I can maintain it even if I don't work out for a while. I recommend everyone to check their levels. It's also great for fighting off the corona virus.
The NHS are not giving the D3 advice because there is no profits in healthy people
WOW This could of been simplified soooooo much
Doctors. A profession with the highest of statuses with miserable clients that want to punch you but they also count their lives on you. Lovely fat doctors with smiles and kindness, repulsive fat doctors with a feeling of a superb grandiose and rudeness in every word of theirs. Athletic snob and athletic friendly ones. Curious gossiping doctors and the kinky ones who talk all about sex and they are almost virgins and unable.Anyways, i am not going to write a whole book about them, so avoid these fuckers, i worked in a hospital and i know, do you think they are saints? They want your money and they have a weird fetish with human bodies, that's all.
Eddie is awesome I had no idea who he was until I started watching his videos a few months ago. I had not been near a gym in 6 years and there was not a week that went by when I didn't think about killing myself simply because I was just empty inside, lonely as f*ck and I had slowly gone from muscle head to looking like a pear with legs, however now I have been inspired by watching Eddie's videos and I am back in the gym constantly absolutely smashing it! I just bought a 60kg Log for the garage and I'm comfortably dead-lifting 170kg for 4-5 reps. I don't really know what I'm doing but I know the basics of technique and nutrition, plus there is plenty of information I've been looking at online and I bought myself a load of oblivion too! I'm still lonely but my mental health is so much better now because I have something to do. I don't just sit watching TV eating opiate pain killers like they are sweets, now I watch TV programmes about nutrition and strongman competitions, I'm 42 so I'd never be able to complete but I'll be able to do it for myself. If I carry on like this I might start going out to places other than the gym as well so my life is not over as I once thought it was. 😁👍
Thor loves the D!! And vitamins too!
Are you dull eddie ever wondered why alot of people like the, sun and have a smile on thier face and not unhappy otherwise people would be unhappy from the sun due to vit d absorption 😂 im not watching this video.
whats he on about 😂😂
Dr Eddie, if he wasn't wsm
Good stuff Eddie, thanks for helping point out the dumbness of our governments, and that is to take care of yourself instead of relying on shots and lockdowns to stay healthy.
As someone who worked in the nutriceutical sector I can tell you this, multivitamins are bull s#!t. Try and get the vitamins from your diet but if you can't or you need more go for specific supplements, don't go for all-rounders.
Is Eddie still on dial up?
Because I ski I'm actually out in the sun in the Winter more than I am in the Summer. Being in Scotland i'll have to take what I can get!
I took my Mudho test about 4 months ago, I made the corrections that the test told me & I am starting to feel better but the most important feature I think I benefited from is my brain function. Before the test & the corrections I made, I was having a hard time concentrating for large periods of time. After, my memory is much better, my concentration is much better, & my sleep is much better. I highly recommend that you get educated on your health & yes....this Muhdo test does seem to fit the bill. Just my experience.
As someone living in Norway it amazes me how little the UK knows about Vitamin D in comparission.
big belly
Pounds on Eddy will back out!! He doesn’t want permanent damage done to his face!
Cool talk
Great content!
LOL @ the thumbnail
It's always delightful listening to James every time you have him on, he is a font of knowledge that I always learn something noteworthy. 👍
I love the winter
Where's the best place to find Vit D substitutes Eddie?
it was the "head nerd" for me lol
Did anyone else doze off?...
I like to see this Beast becoming a pro weightlifter.
I’ve been taking multi vitamins recently. Does anyone know if they work. Cheers.
Vitamin D is not only important for mental health but also in general for the immune system for example. I have an autoimmune disorder (multiple sclerosis) and my vitamin D is at a really low level (like it is for many people with autoimmune disorders). I take Vitamin D every day to keep a higher Vitamin D level, and there is even a Doctor who made the so-called "Coimbra protocol", that is about how you can get healthier by vitamin D, especially with autoimmune disorders.
After going down a very dark and destructive path after my mums death - I was 105kg, drinking like a trooper and lots of other stuff I'm not proud of, eating rubbish almost every day and not looking after myself. One of the main things that got me ouf of the hole was exercise. My whole mindset changed - I put my anger, depression and destruction to use in the gym and running. Slowly my depression pulled back, and the bad thoughts receded. This lead to me eating more healthily, which in turn look at my drinking, which in turn just turned my life around. It is hard - really hard. I feel the highs and lows raw - this can be overwhelming, but I feel so much better equipped to deal with the crap that life throws at me. People like Eddie, even though I will never be anywhere near his and others level, really do inspire me to push myself every day. I can't stress enough about how all the pain, sweat and effort is worth it. My only regret is that I didn't do it years ago.
I actually feel better in the winter than I do in the summer because I prefer cold weather to hot weather and heat makes me angry
Is there a plain English version of this please 🤯🤯🤯
At the age of 37, after many years of working night shifts and 70 hours a week, I read a book on vitamins d. I start taking it daily. Then I start going to the gym, then I got better at lifting. Then at 40 I start competing in powerlifting. Since then I got few medals at the Canadian nationals for powerlifting and I am the LW master strongman champion in British Columbia. The first step was taking vitamin d - I still take it daily. And of corse watch the Beast for inspiration!
@Ata Kemal Semerci 4000IU is the recommended upper limit.
how many uis do you take a daily?
Keep those coming! Maybe even start a regular podcast! You and Ross Edgley !
Vit d wasnt a problem before they started proccesing the milk.
Even if the milk is not processed 1glass of Milk only contains 16-25 IU which nothing compared to you getting vitamin D from Sunlight which is around 10,000-20'000 IU
Eddie we believe in you. You shall crush half thor
I got vitamin d3 2 days ago now I got the one with k2, up until recently I realized I was deficient and didn’t know the importance of this supplement.
Last time I got ill it was around about 15years ago,, 🤷♀️
This is absolutely fantastic Eddie!
What is Eddie’s intro track?
Fking cool vid. Completely different, Love it, do more about sports medicine!
Interesting but my anxiety is worse in summer because heat triggers my anxiety and I love the cold but my parents migrated to Australia
